CZ 100 is a semi automatic pistol that was designed in 1995. It has a polymer frame. It’s a radical departure from CZ’s standard 75 series based guns. One of the biggest departures from normal CZ tradition is that the 100 model is a double-action-only pistol of the production of CZ. The trigger mechanism is unique in that the idea behind it is simple to the point of almost being excellent. Pulling the trigger moves a hook that grabs a bar on the striker and slingshots it back. The trigger hook drops off of the striker at the farthest point of travel, what allowing it to fly forward to fire the gun. It isn’t just a polymer framed clone of CZ 75, although it seems to be so . CZ 100 has a number of important handgun features that make this pistol unique. It is hammerless DAO (double action only), what means that the firing system of the model is under no tension unless the trigger is pulled. There is an automatic firing pin safety device that increases a level of safety and there is also a simple compensator on .40 S&W version. The gun uses the usual Browning cam for action. The tactical rail allows for the attachment of a various lasers or flashlights, but only proprietary models equipped with the rail. This model is constructed for one-handed cocking, with a protrusion on the slide behind the ejection port, it’s intended for pushing against the edge of a fixed surface.
